Launch date 29/01/2026 – For our first product launch we have created 20 limited edition maker kits. They have a unique design and have serial number 1 to 20. Kits are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
4 things you need to know.
1. Not a complete vacuum:You will need to find a discarded vacuum cleaner from which you can harvest the motor, cable and hose.
2. Commercial Performance: This is a fully working prototype that has been tested by a group of makers and early users in real household settings. It sucks great and can replace your commercial vacuum in terms of performance.
3. At your own risk: We have made a safe device, but this is still a prototype and not yet CE-certified. By buying and using it, you acknowledge that you’re participating as a maker and long-term beta tester, taking full responsibility for safe assembly, use, and any modifications you make along the way. 4. The price: 80 € all-in. This includes deliveries in BE.

What is Model 1? And who is it for?
Our maker kit arrives as a hands-on package, designed to be assembled by an experienced maker. The maker should be familiar with the risks of 220 Volt AC and understand how to work safely with mains electricity.
All FairVacuums are design for easy an fast (dis)assembly & repair (IKEA style ;-D). You only need simple tools: a screwdriver, small powerdrill and pliers.
You will need to add yourself.
You will need to find a discarded vacuum cleaner from which you can harvest the following parts:
- A universal vacuum motor <900W
- Power cable
- Hose, pole and floor attachments

About the price.
We don’t plan to make any profit on this kit as it’s sold at cost, covering only production and shipping. Our primary goal is to gauge whether there is a willingness to pay for our concept, while also building and engaging a maker community around it.
The total price of 80 euro is VAT included. This covers shipping inside Belgium. Shipping to other European countries requires 12 euro’s extra shipping fee.

When the kits are ready we will send you a payment link. After payment the makerkit will be shipped.

Our universal motor mount makes it easy to install different motors in less than 5 minutes. No special tools needed, anyone can replace a motor.
Reuse any hose
Our universal hose connector works with almost any hose. Remove the brand specific connector, choose the spiral adaptor that matches your hose diameter, screw it on, and you’re ready to go.

The first design goal of the FairVacuum DIY edition is clear: excellent performance.
It must reliably suck up dust and debris like any high-quality vacuum, while still providing the essential features users expect.
The FairVacuum is perfect for a wide range households that have a mix of mainly hard-floors combined with or rugs or carpets.
Sucks Great
Delivers 40–50 inches of water suction pressure with a 450–700W motor, matching the performance of today’s commercial vacuums. Need more suction? Simply mount a more powerful motor.
S-bag Compatible
Using a bag keeps fine dust contained, makes emptying clean and hassle-free, and helps protect the motor and filters ensuring more consistent performance over time.
The s-bag® is a standard vacuum bag designed to fit all bagged canister cleaners from Philips, AEG, Electrolux, Volta & Tornado.
Contains Micro Dust
The airflow exit can fit a round Kärcher HEPA 13 filter. The filter will clean the air of fine dust particles which is ideal for people with pets, sensitive to dust and related allergies.
Low Noise Profile
No-Tech Power Regulator
We developed a smart hose adapter that lets you open air inlets, lowering the suction power by more than 60%, without using electronics. That’s what we call ‘smart’ tech.
Universal Motor Support
Model 1 performs reliably with motors rated between 450 and 900 W. While higher-power motors can be installed, we do not recommend doing so for reasons of performance, safety, and energy consumption unless a power regulator is used to reduce the output to approximately 750 W.
